Beloch, Dorotea (fem) c1890-1952 Italy, ?Frascati - Rome

1905-1907 studied harmony, counterpoint and fugue with Riccardo Storti, 1907-1908 studied composition and instrumentation with Pietro Mascagni at Scuola Nazionale di Musica in Rome, 1912 she conducted a concert of own works at the Lyceum di Roma, by 1918 she had composed 50 romances for voice and piano or orchestra, 1931-1944 during fascism some of her theatrical works were censored, 1942 she published 'Studio dell'armonia, metodo pratico' with F. Bongiovanni Bologna ; daughter of scientist Giulio Beloch ; sister of librettist Margherita Beloch Piazzolla (Frascati 1879-1976 Rome)
