Biografia
conte.
Count Julius Hardegg (1834-67). He studied piano (as did Liszt) with Carl Czerny, and one of his most notable achievements as a pianist would surely have been the premiere performance - as a teenager - in Weimar in 1851 of Liszt's piano and orchestra reworking of Schubert's 'Wanderer Fantasy' under the baton of Joseph Hellmesberger. His salon pieces were once very popular, and deserve reappraisal.
