Guy Vivien is a photographer, particularly renowned for his work on the contemporary musicians' worlds. A self-taught and independent artist, he starting building up his collection over 20 years ago: his work now appear as a true testimony of the artistic and musical life of his time. His pictures display over 200 composers (Iannis Xénakis, Karlheinz Stockhausen, Pierre Boulez, Gyorgy Ligeti, Luciano Berio, Georges Aperghis, Henri Dutilleux, Witold Lutoslawski...) as well as many interpreters, notably, Gustav Leonhardt, Ivan Fischer, Fabio Biondi, Leif Ove Andsnes, Felicity Lott, Pierre-Laurent Aimard, Jean-Efflam Bavouzet...
Guy Vivien also portrayed jazz musicians (Christian Escoudé, Tigran Hamasyan, Laurent de Wilde, ...), choreographers (Charles Cré-Ange), writers and poets (Alberto Moravia)...
